Irish Film London launches YouTube series supporting our acting community

April 2, 2021

In the face of last year’s turmoil, Irish Film London made plans to offer new strands of support to some of those in the creative community who have been hit hardest by the pandemic. One such strand has now come to bear fruit, with the release of Irish Film London’s brand new series of short videos featuring some of the most amazing up and coming Irish screen talent, to offer support to the wider acting community.

Top Tips for Self Tape Success features acting talent from Normal People, The Fall, Killing Eve, Vikings, and much more. Focused on the industy’s necessary move to relying on self-tapes in lieu of face to face auditions, the series has gathered some of the best on screen talent from Ireland to offer useful tips both for beginners and more experienced creatives. The featured actors are

Aoife Hinds (Normal People, Derry Girls)

Conor Macneil (HBO Industry, The Fall)

Trevor Kaneswaren (Penance, Doctors)

Ayoola Smart (Killing Eve, Smother)

and Diarmaid Murtagh (Vikings, Monuments Men)

These films, shot during lockdown by the actors in their own homes, cover a range of topics - from technology to readers, down to what to wear. The videos are available worldwide and for free via the Irish Film London YouTube channel, and are collated there in a special YouTube Playlist for ease of reference.

Look out for some bonus performances by some of the names attached!
