The Annual
Irish Film London
Awards
Each November IFL hosts an awards ceremony in celebration of Irish film, in the lead up to the Irish Film Festival London.
These awards highlight and reward the talents of a select number of Irish filmmakers, whose work has shown great distinction, originality and passion.
Awards categories include:
BEST FEATURE FILM | BEST DOCUMENTARY
BEST SHORT FILM | SÚIL EILE AWARD
THE ROS HUBBARD AWARD FOR ACTING
The Irish Film London Awards are an annual event, taking place within the festivities of the Irish Film Festival London each November. The Awards are our chance to honour and celebrate the best new Irish screen talent, through an exclusive, red-carpet event at the Embassy of Ireland in London’s Belgravia area.
Reflecting Irish Film London’s mission to promote and amplify the reach of Irish screen culture in the UK, this event raises the profile of Irish film to the UK press and film industry, while providing guests with the chance to meet and celebrate the nominated work.
The Irish Film London Awards are attended by the biggest and best names in the Irish film industry, as well as press who take exclusive pictures of the evening, creating a once a year celebration not to be missed.
Only films which are a part of the official selection can be eligible for the Irish Film London Awards. So if you’re a filmmaker, submit now via FilmFreeway.
All selected filmmakers get an invitation to the Awards ceremony, alongside our Festival Champions.
If you’re not a filmmaker (or if you are but you don’t have a film in this year’s festival) and still want to be a part of the Awards fun, why not become a member by choosing one of our great Membership options here.
