Director Antonia Campbell-Hughes comes to Soho for IFL exclusive preview screening of ‘It Is In Us All’

Irish Film London are excited to present another exclusive talent led preview event ahead of Irish Film Festival London 2022 this November.

IFL are excited to host this special preview screening of It Is In Us All along with Q&A with director Antonia Campbell-Hughes at Curzon Soho on the 16th of September.

It Is In Us All is the directorial debut from the exciting new auteur, Antonia Campbell-Hughes, star of Jack Dee’s Lead Balloon and Irish titles like Rebecca Daly’s The Other Side of Sleep. It Is In Us All stars Cosmo Jarvis (Calm With Horses), Claes Bang (The Northman) developed under Screen Ireland's female focused POV scheme which launched at the Cannes Film Festival in 2018. The aim of the scheme is to foster emerging female filmmaking talent with distinct and exciting voices.

Eager to continue to hone her unique cinematic voice writer/director Antonia Campbell-Hughes partnered with Executive Producer Conor Barry (The Hole in the Ground, Pilgrimage) of Savage Productions and the pair began work on a script which would eventually evolve into It Is In Us All. In 2019, Screen Ireland awarded the project production funding and It Is In Us All became the first film to be produced under the POV scheme.

The film follows its protaganist Hamish as he arrives in Donegal, on the soil of his mother’s birth. As he travels further into the wild Irish country, a shocking car accident rips him apart, shattering his clenched control. A beast broken, he finds himself lost in the world of his long deceased mother. But when he starts to receive visits from a teenager who was also involved in the crash, Hamish begins to experience the electricity of living.

Gerry Maguire, Head of Irish Film London said,

“We're so excited to be previewing this incredible, visceral film from a real Irish talent like Antonia, and bringing it to London audiences before anyone else. I can’t wait for people to see the film. Our thanks to Blue Finch Releasing and Curzon for partnering with us on this great event.“
