GEARR / SHORTS - A Dó

Round two of Irish Film Festival London’s short film selection for 2022, this programme promises another collection of work from some of the most talented Irish filmmakers working in short form film right now.

These dramas, thrillers, comedies and documentaries demonstrate the storytelling talent of a new generation.

An Encounter - dir. Kelly Campbell

Freely adapted form the James Joyce short story, 'An Encounter', follows teenage Stephen and Jay as they take a day mitching from school.

A small town stable man struggles with his femininity amidst a rugged rural landscape, and it is only made more difficult when his favourite horse is set to be euthanised at the end of the week.

Tina, a recently widowed farmer, doesn't want her daughter to move back to the city and leave her on her own. When Seamus arrives on the farm talking about a date, she decides to intervene.
