Irish Film Festival London are proud to present the UK Premiere of Paul Duane's While You Live, Shine as part of our 2021 programme.

A moving, powerful journey deep into the oldest music in the Western world, guided by the eccentric musicologist who has dedicated his life to understanding & preserving it. Paul Duane’s documentary is an immersive sonic & visual feast that leaves the viewer feeling like they've looked into a way of life that the 21st century has left behind. A call to arms for a different way of listening to music, understanding humanity and living as a community.

An experience which must be enjoyed in the cinema, While You Live, Shine is a restorative film experience which offers audiences a chance to fall into this wonderful music and community culture in the same way as its central character does. IFL are proud to present it to audiences at this year’s festival as a UK premiere.

This screening will be followed by a Q&A with the film's director, Paul Duane
