Pota Óir is a documentary and live film about one of Ireland’s most respected cult bands, Kíla, who merge folk and world music traditions into what the BBC World Review describes as a euphoric live experience.
Director Anthony White followed the band on tour, capturing performances over several shows ranging from the Tinahely Arts Centre in Wicklow to Dublin’s beloved Whelan’s, and the esteemed Cambridge Folk Festival.
Combining live footage, candid interviews and intimate backstage moments the film takes a mesmerising musical journey and a very personal look at one of Ireland’s greatest and most acclaimed live acts.
